it's officially official!

We've had hunches and it's been hinted that Rusty would get a job from Tanner, the accounting firm he is internshiping with but it was never official so we were a little hesitant to get our hopes completely UP but as of Friday it is OFFICIAL! He was given his offer letter and he is no longer an intern but an actual employee starting April 17th!!! And we can finally move on with our lives! hooray!!!! I already have an appointment with our realtor to look at houses on Thursday! It's been a long time coming but it's finally here!:):):) Just thought you'd like to know!

Update! get your Update!

So it has obviously been aWHILE since I last wrote so here's a little of what is going on in the life of me. We are still in Oakley and will be until at least April 15. Rusty got an internship at a tax firm in Salt Lake called Tanner and we are hoping and praying and crossing anything that can be crossed that it will turn into a full time job after said April. So we'll see!! Still nothing perminate as of yet but I see little glimmers in the distance instead of blah.

We went to Vegas for Thanksgiving which was super fun. My big sis lives there so since my little Bro Zach is way out in England we went along with my parents and had dinner with Ang and Roy.

Conner is getting so big! well not really. He's still pretty small but he doing lots more! He's starting to want to crawl but can't quite get it which gets him pretty frustrated. kinda funny for me though. But he's just so much fun! He's sleeping pretty OK. If only I would go to bed at 7:30 like him I could get a solid 8 hours in. But no I have to go to bed at 10 (which, come on, it's pretty reasonable) and then it takes me like 1 1/2 hours to GET to sleep so by the time he wakes up around 3am I've only gotten like 3 hours and he's good to go. guess I should go to bed earlier! I would put pictures of him up because I'm obsessed with my cute baby but it's so stinkin annoying to put pics up cuz it takes about a year for each one to load on you can just imagine how cute he is. especially since his hair is growing back from when it all fell out and he is now blond with big blue eyes. awe. well I think I just heard him squawking from his afternoon nap so it's time to go!

I find it ironic that I spent the last 6 years of my life waiting for college to be over. I had this great plan in my mind that I would go from a poor starving student to this amazing person with a job and a house and all the things imaginations are made of. Little did I know that we would be graduating in the middle of a crappy recession where it is the worst hiring time in the last 10 years. So now instead of being poor starving students we are just poor starving people. We are currently smack dab in the middle of recruiting season for accounting firms. What happens in normal years is firms from all over the state come to the different universities and recruit students. It used to be no problem to have a job lined up a whole year before you even graduated!! But not this year. Rusty is graduated but still desperately trying to find a job through recruiting. He basically has to go to all of their events and try and win over the people passing out jobs with his sparkling personality along with 300 other people trying to get the same one job. not so cool. Hopefully he's sparkly enough.
But there is a perk, see they have these events where you go to the office and look around and talk to people and they have all of this free stuff. This guy the other night was literally filling my purse up with chocolates, hand sanitizer bottles, post-its, and pens. I guess on the bright side if we don't find a job soon we can sell all our swag on e-bay!
